Science
The college has an excellent Science Department with a team of specialist and highly experienced teachers, many of whom are current examiners.
We aim to develop in students the scientific disciplines of research, analysis and logical thought and to develop their ability to think individually and creatively.
These skills are developed through many different methods of teaching and learning.
Regular tests and practice of past papers help students to develop their exam technique.
Integral to all science course are regular practical sessions, which gives students the opportunity to enhance their analytical and evaluative skills.
Many of the students taking A-level science courses at the college will be applying for competitive courses such as biochemistry, engineering and medicine. The courses we offer will be invaluable in applying for such degrees or any other further study.
